libcudf-dev software package provides C library to access descriptions of package upgrade problems, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcudf-dev
libcudf-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcudf-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcudf-dev *
You will get with libcudf-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
